ed home Saturday after spend-
ing the week in Timpaon.
Mrs. Emmett McDowell has
returned to her home in Lufkin
after spending three weeks
here visiting her sister, Mrs.
Jim Langhorne, aad her rela-
tive, Mrs. F. M. Whiteside.
Mr. and Km. F. B. Bussey
have returned from * two
weeks vacation in New York
and Washington, D. C. In the
former city they- visited their
children, Dr. and Mm. Prank
Bussey, Jr. Both gentlemen had
the pleasure of attending the
two games of the World Series
ball games played there. In
Washington they visited anoth-
er aos, Col. William Bussey,
and his family.
Col. and Mrs. B. R. Morri-
son spent the weekend in Dain-
gerfield visiting their children,
Mr. and Mrs. B. R. Morrison,
Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. O. W.
O’Connor.

La Bosa, La., visited here at
the family residence this past
week.
Bev. Bobby Kristensen of
Houston came in Friday even-
ing for a visit with his parents,
Mr. and Mis. J. W. Kristensen.
He returned home Friday.

ford visited Sunday with their
aunt, Mrs. Asa Bushing of San
Augustine. Bev. Joe Z Tower
of Houston preached at Mc-

and children of West Orange
returned home Sunday after a
visit with their parents, Mr.
and Mm Hoyt Stllley and Mr.
and Mrs. Paul Amos.
Mr. and Mm J. W. Askins
and sons, Jim and Stephens of
St, Louis visited their parents,
Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Askins this
week. Last Saturday they at-
tended funeral rites of Mm. J.
W. Askins’ father, J. V. Kereh
at Humble, who passed away
last Friday.

of Kilgore were here several
days last week visiting the
lady's sisters, Mesdames J. E.
Ramsey and Clant Shepherd,
Sr.

ton has been visiting his par-
ents, Mr. and Mm Clant Shep-
herd, Sr. \
Mr. and Mm Lionel Bamsey
of Nacogdoches visited their
parents, Mr. and Mm Elmer
Bamsey.
Mr. and Mm Tot Taylor of
Houston visited with their rel-
atives, Mrs. Jim Taylor and
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Taylor.
Mrs. Mark Smith and Mm
Dewey Mills were called to
Houston last week to be with
thefar brother and son, Robert
Mills, who underwent major
surgery in thst city. They were
accompanied home Saturday
by Kenny Smith, who made
the trip to Houston by bus
Friday night, and by little Mias
Lynn Mills.
Mrs. Florene Burrows and
daughter, Sharon, spent last
weekend in Houston with the
family of Mm Burrows’ broth-
er, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Morris.
Visitors in the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Jim Morgan MM Sun-
day were two of Mrs. Morgan’s
cousins, whom she had not seen
in fifty years. They were: Mrs.
Charles Duncan and Mm Eva
Locklin of Rockdale. They
were accompanied by Mm
Duncan’s brother, Frank Dixon
and wife of Loo Angeles. An-
other cousin, Mrs. Arthur Sor-
rell and husband of Terrell.
Other visitors were: Mrs. Mor-
gan’s niece, Mrs. Frank Kerr
of Joaquin; sisters. Mm Elisha
Palmer, Mrs. C. E. Huddleston,
and brother, Jim Desnix at Pa-
sadena; Mr. aad Mm J. P.
Morgan and Mrs. Alga Shep-
herd and Tommie of Center.
They made a visit to the Dixon
cemetery at Weaver where the
Digon’s parents were buried,
their grandfather having giv-
en the land for the cemetery.
Mr. and Mm W. C. Pilgreen
of Houston, spent last weekend
in Timpaon with Mr. Pilgieen’s
