devotional program was pre-
sented in the Timpson High
School auditorium Wednesday
under the direction of Miss
Mabel Martin.
The program was as fol-

Twentieth Century Club
The Twentieth Century Club
met Tuesday, Sept. 26, with
Mrs. Ernest Bogard. The roll
call was quite an interesting
feature of the meeting; each
member giving something on
her respective subject.
The ciub is now successfully
i its way for a “Good Will”
tour of the Latin American
countries. Mrs. Mary Allen
Barco was in charge of tickets,
passports, etc.; Mr*. S. R. Per-
minter was mistress of the
wardrobes. Miss Mina McLen-
don saw that the party wa3
comfortably located and set-
tled on the ship, and Mrs. L. G.
Tomlinson sponsored the Nep-
tune ceremony, which took
place on crossing the equator.
We are off for a good time on
a worthwhile trip.
The club will meet again
Oct. 10, 2:30 o’clock, with
Mrs. McDonald as hosetss.

The second grammar school
program for this year was pre-
sented Thursday by the sev-
enth grade under the direction
of Miss Helen McMinn. The
cast for the play, “The Rein-
carnation of the Princess'
was: Billy Nelson. Robin
Hooper, Jr., Christine Rhodes,
Peggy Ann Julian and Dixie
Ruth Tippett.
Era Bell Hayes acted as an-
nouncer. The musical pro-
gram was composed by Madge
Boucher, Sue Kyle, Janet Nel-
son, Mary King, Mary Evelyn
Futrell, Frances Entler and
Mrs. Kristensec... Gttis Kyle
and Billy Stamps pulled the
curtain and switched the lights
for the program.
How’d you likg to catch a

thrill Verdel Childers of San
Augustine got recently while
fishing in the Angelina River.
The gar, according to the
Game Department’s chief
aquatic biologist, is the largest
reported in Texas.
