A few loyal members are

school going. The Lord is
with os and we pray that onr
time is being well spent when
we meet to study God’s word.

have received a letter from
their son, Royce, who is in
overseas duty. He is doing just
fine snd sends greetings to sll
of his friends. Mrs. Francis
has slso heard from her son,
Bernard, in the paratroops. He
was in battle with the Japs at
Risks, but is now bade in the
states.
Mrs. Tom Franks is still on
the sick list
Mrs. Joella Crawford and
son, Larry, and Mrs. Wallis
Thomas, spent the week-end
in Fairplay with their parents,
Mr. and Mrs. John Hull.
Mr. and Mrs. Ross Ramsey
of Orange spent the week-end
with Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Bam-

Mrs. Samuel Francis and

Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Francis
Saturday' night, while Mr.
Francis attended Masonic
lodge at Arcadia.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Ramsey
and children visited Mr. and
Mrs. W. D. Bamsfey Sunday.
Haskel Williams was a busi-
ness visitor here this week-
end. He reports that little
Betty, who was seriously burn-
ed a few weeks ago, is doing
nicely and was removed from
the Nacogdoches hospital Sat-
urday.
Everyone meets at the post
office each morning, waiting
for news from the boys in ser-
vice. Our minds are all one
one thought. We are praying
for their welfare and hoping
for their safe return in the
near future. May God bless
and keep them.
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Craw-
ford, Mrs. Royce Crawford
and son, Larry, have been
looking forward to this week
when Pic. Royce H. Crawford
from Sun Antonio will be ho; e
on furlough.
Mr. and Mrs. Perkin Wil-
son made a business trip to
Timpeon Monday.
Ann Williams of Timpson
spent Monday night with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. F.
Williams.
Mrs. Horace Francis spent
Sunday night and Monday
with her sister, Mrs. Allen
•Burrows, in Naeogdoches.
Wallace Crawford is now
employed at Brookshire Bros.
In Timpson.
Mrs. Turner Williams spent
the week-end in Orange with
her husband, who has employ-
ment at the shipyard.
School here is progressing
nicely. Mrs. Liddie Williams
says the beginners are doing
nicely.
Mrs. E. T. Crawford and
children, Ada Mae and Event,
spent Saturday here. Mrs.
Crawford is bookkeeper for
the store.
