AND MINIMUM RATES TO BE CHARGED FOR NAT-
URAL GAS DELIVERED AND NATURAL GAS SERVICE
FURNISHED TO CERTAIN CLARES (^ GAS CON-
SUMERS WITHIN THE CITY OF TIMPSON, TEXAS,
FIXING THE TIME WHEN SUCH SCHEDULES OF

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TIMPSON, TEXAS:
Section 1. The rates and charges for natural gas deliver-
ed and natural gas service furnished to residential consumers
in the City of Timp3on, Texas, from and after the 1st day of
November, 193S, shall be those set forth in the following
schedule:
APPLICATION OF SCHEDULE
This schedule is applicable to natural gas service to a con-
sumer at a dwelling or a residential apartment for uses usual in
a home. Service under this schedule is for the Individual use
of the consumer, and shall not be resold.
NET MONTHLY RATE:
31.00 net each month, which entitles con-
sumer to use during such month 1,000
cubic feet.
.50 net for 1,000 cubic feet for the next
9.000 cubic feet used each month.
.40 net per 1,000 cubic feet for the next
10.000 cubic feet used each month.
.25 net per 1,000 cubic feet for the next
300.000 cubic feet used each month.
Minimum Monthly Bill: $1.00.
PAYMENT
The above net rate shall be increased by ten per cent
(10%) to arrive at the gross rate. The difference between the
gross and net rates representing a discount, shall be allowed for
payment of bills within ten (10) days from the date of the bill.
' Section 2. The rates and charges for natural gas deliver-
ed and natural gas furnished to commercial consumers in the
City of Timpson, Texas, from and after ths 1st day of Novem-
ber, 1939, shall be those set forth in the following schedule
APPLICATION OF SCHEDULE
This schedule is applicable to natural gas service for cook-
ing. water heating, space heating and other appliance uses to
commercial, business, professional, and social establishments
only. Service under this schedule is for the individual use of
the consumer at one point of delivery and shall not be resold.
NET MONTHLY RATE:
$1.00 net each month, which entitles con-
sumer to use during such month 1.000
cubic feet
.50 net per 1,000 cubic feet for the next
9.000 cubic feet used each month.
.40 net per 1,000 cubic feet for the next
10.000 cubic feet used each month.
.25 net per 1,000 cubic feet for the next
300.000 cubic feet used each month.
Minimum Monthly Bill: $1.00.
PAYMENT:
The above net rate shall be increased by ten per cent
(10%) to arrive at the gross rate. The difference between
the gross and net rates, representing a discount, shall be allow-
ed for payment of bills within ten (10) days from the date of
the ML
Section 8. For natural gas delivered and natural gas
service rendered to residential consumers or to commercial con-
sumers as described in Section 1 and 2 hereof, from and after
the 1st day of November, 1939, it shall be unlawful for any
person, firm, corporation, receiver or lessee operating a natural
gas distribution system in the City of Timpson, Texas, under
franchise issued by said City, or for any agent or employee
thereof, to demand, exact, or collect any rates or charges for
natural gas or natural gas service in excess of those prescribed
in Sections 1 and 2 hereof. It shall likewise be unlawful for
any such person, firm, corporation, receiver, or leasee, or any
agent or employee thereof, to contract for, accept or collect,
from any consumer described in Sections 1 and 2 hereof, any
lesser rates or charges for natural gas or natural gas service
than those prescribed in Sections 1 and 2 hereof. Any viola-
tion of tills ordinance is hereby declared to be a misdemeanor
and any person, firm, corporation, receiver, or lessee, or any
agent or employee thereof, who shall be guilty of such viola-
tion, upon conviction thereof shall be fined not less than Twen-
ty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than One Hundred Dollars
$100). Each demand, exaction, or collection of a rate or charge
in excess of those herein fixed, and each contract for, accept-
ance, or collection of a lesser rate or charge than those herein
fixed,shall he deemed as and shall constitute a separate offense.
Section 4. The approach of the winter season when gas
consumption is greatest, the necessity for immediate relief
from existing rates, and the preservation, in the public interest,
of the stability and efficiency of natural gas service in the City
of Timpson, Texas, create an .emergency and an imperative
public necessity requiring that this ordinance become effective
immediately upon its passage, approval, and publication and it
is so ordained.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 10th day of Oct. 1989.
