Buffs speed past Lions, 73-50

Mello, a 6-9 junior from Sao Paula.

in 22 points and pulling down 11
rebounds, both game-high totals.
Mello, who had only three points
at intermission, got hot in the sec-
ond half as the Buffs built on their
33-22 halftime lead.

points, respectively. The latter also
