SUMMER WORKER LOSS HITS
WAR WORK
The return of students and teach
rrs to their classrooms, plus women
who have gone hack to being house-
wives and workers who have quit
war-time jobs to go into post-war
fotis with the notion the war is about
over has resulted in a seasonal loss
to war plants of over one million
workers, according to September fig-
ures of the War Manpower Commis-
sion. Despite concern over this loss
in workers, Government Officials
agree that the return of students to
schools is in the beat interests of our
Democracy.
