RATE CHANGE REQUEST
Notice is hereby given
that MEDINA ELECTRIC
COOPERATIVE, INC., has
filed an application for a
reduction in its rates for
electric utility service to
irrigation customers who
agree to participate in a
voluntary load management
program. This program is
expected to reduce costs for
all customers. Therefore,
classes of consumers who
are affected are as follows:
General, Irrigation, Small
Commercial, Large Commer-
cial, Reciprocating Pump,
Mercury Vapor Lighting,
and Wholesale. The pro-
posed rates are expected to
reduce annual revenues of
the Cooperative by $219,768,
or 1 percent based upon the
revenues of the 12-month
period ending December 31,
1982. The rate reduction is in
the amount of $1 per month
in the Horsepower Charge
and is requested to be
effective January 1,1984.
Inquiries concerning the
application may be directed
to Medina Electric Coopera-
tive, Inc., 2308 18th Street,
Hondo, Medina County,
Texas 78861. Persons who
wish to intervene or other-
wise participate in these
proceedings should notify
the commission as soon as
possible. A request to inter-
vene, participate or for
further information should
be mailed to the Public
Utility Commission of Texas,
7800 Shoal Creek Boulevard,
Suite 400N, Austin, Texas,
78757. Further information
may also be obtained by
calling the Public Utility
Commission Consumer
