These CEUs are required at regular
intervals in differing amounts for

Leigh Anne Lam became the bride
of Carl Everett Schwope on Satur-
day, April 13,1996 at First Baptist
Church in Gatesville.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Max Lam of Gatesville.
She is the granddaughter of Mrs.
Paul Lam and the late Mr. Lam of
Mound, and the late Mr. and Mrs.
Scott Blakley of Mico. The bride-
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Charles A. Agold of Boeme and Mr.
and Mrs. Boyce Schwope of San
Antonio. His grandparents are Mr.
and Mrs. Jerome Zinsmeyer of
Hondo, Mr. and Mrs. Charles H.
Agold and Mr. and Mrs. Albert
Schwope of Boeme.
The Reverend Ray Still, pastor of
Oakwood Baptist Church, New
Braunfels, officiated in the double-
ring ceremony.
The altar area featured a candela-
bra tree entwined with garlands of
antique pink roses flanked by white
colonial pillars based and topped
with Boston ferns. Candles lined the
rails on either side and antique pink
rose garlands decorated the unity
candelabra.
Classical prelude and postlude
music was provided by a woodwind
ensemble with a piano accompani-
ment Songs during the ceremony
were The rose and Love Lift Us Up.
At the conclusion of the ceremony
while guests bowed their heads. The
Lord's Prayer was sung. The tradi-
tional Bridal Chorus for the entrance
of the bride and Wedding March for
the recessional of the wedding party
were played on the organ.
The bride, given in marriage by
her parents, wore a formal flow-
length designer-original gown of
white peau de soie and lace lavishly
embellished with iridescent sequins
and pearls. The semi-cathedral
length train was attached to the back
of the straight, fitted skirt with
matching pearl-beaded Alencon
lace. A floor-length veil of white
illusion and shoes of while peau de
soie and pearls completed the en-
semble. She carried a colonial bou-
quet of fresh white roses and wax
flower with tiny white satin stream-
ers. Entwined in the bouquet was a
blue sapphire necklace with be-
longed to her Grandmother Blakley.
Mrs. Ginger Elliott of Houston
served as matron of honor. Brides-
maids were Ms. Christy McCoy of
Commerce, the bride's cousin; Mrs.
Melissa Stapleton of Corpus Christi;
Mrs. Cathryn Mitchell of Austin, the
groom's sister; Mrs. Laura Lam of
Gatesville, the bride's sister-in-law;
Mrs. Keia Wilson of Arlington; and
Mrs. Michelle Coble of Round
Rock.
Bridal attendants wore floor-
length formal gowns of cranberry
shantung featuring sheered organza
off-shoulder bodices. The straight,
fitted skirts complemented the lines
of the bridal gown. They carried
colonial nosegays of fresh pink
Anna and Livia roses with pink satin
streamers.
Candles were lit by Miss Rebecca
Agold and Miss Patricia Agold, the
groom's sisters.
Serving as best man was Cash
Coble of Round Rock. Groomsmen/
ushers were Ron Zinsmeister and
Claude Culak, both of Boeme;
Jayson Lam of Gatesville, the bride's
brother, Sherman Laskowski of San
Marcos; Demetrie Mitchell of
Austin, the groom's brother-in-law;
and Glen Gillman of Killeen. Aaron
Schwope of San Antonio, the
groom's brother, was an usher. They
wore black tuxedos with black bow
ties and vests and pink rose bouton-
nieres. Thegroom wore black formal
tails, tie and vest and a white rose
boutonniere.
After receiving the wedding
guests in the foyer of the church
along with their parents, the bride
and groom departed for the reception
in a chauffeured 1996 white dia-
mond Cadillac sedan Deville.
The reception, hosted by the par-
ents of the bride, was held in the
Frank W. Maybom Civic and Con-
vention Center in Temple. The din-
ner buffet was served to more than
200 guests. The round dining tables
were clothed in white linen and cen-
tered with globed white candles tied
at the base with craqbeny organza
bows.
The bride's cake was a triple float-
ing tier white cake with a strawberry-
nut filling and decorated with pink
icing roses. The groom's two-tiered
cheesecake was decorated in an out-

Musical entertainment was pro-
vided by Matt Brewer and The
Southern Pride Band, Mr. and Mrs.
John Walker of Hondo led the Grand
March after which the bride and
groom danced to Keeper of the Stars.
Surprise guests arranged by cous-
ins of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Harry
B. Macey, Jr. of Temple, were
Mayor ami Mrs. J.W. Perry. Mayor
of the city of Temple, Perry pre-
sented the couple with a Proclama-
tion declaring Saturday, April 13,
1996 as "Mr. and Mrs. Carl Everett
Schwope Day" in Temple.
Roses of bird seed showered the
couple as they departed for a seven-
day Caribbean cruise. The couple is
now at home in New Braunfels.

Sherilyn Kaye Nichols of San
Antonio and Richard Lynn Myers of
D'Hanis, were married Saturday,
April 20,1996 at 4:00 p.m. in Beth-
lehem Lutheran Church at Quihi.
Pastor Stephen Schur officiated at
the double ring ceremony and
Gladys Lindebuig played the tradi-
tional wedding march.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and
Mrs. Paul Rodriguez of San Anto-
nio. Sherilyn is the granddaughter of
Jo Anne Bailey, also of San Antonio.
Parents of the groom are Mr. and
Mrs. Steve Myers of D'Hanis. Rich-
ard is the grandson of Lillian Lutz
and the late Arthur J. Lutz of
D'Hanis, and Virgil and Lou Ann
Myers of Seguiq. ■
Given in marriage by her brother,
Kenneth Nichols, Sheri chose a tra-
ditional style gown, with a high
neckline and fitted bodice, compli
mented by a full skirt and a cathedral
train. The center front of the skirt had
a beaded lace inset. She carried a
bouquet of teal and white roses with
teal ribbons. The bouquet was de-
signed by the bride's mother, as were
all other flower arrangements.
Serving as maid of honor was
Michelle Lopez of San Antonio, a
close friend of the bride. Serving as
bridesmaid was Serena Solis, sister-
in-law of the bride.
Serving his brother as best man
was Billy Joe Myers. Also serving as
groomsman was Paul Myers, an-
other brother of the groom.
Before the ceremony, the bride's
and groom's mothers, respectively,
lighted the two individual candles.
After the ceremony, Richard and
Sheri, together, shared in the lighting
of the unity candle.
Following the wedding, the recep-
tion and a barbecue dinner was
served at Quihi Gun Club. Entering
the reception, guests were greeted by
two white doves in an ornate cage, at
the register table. Throughout the
club, decorations of teal and white
arrangements were placed. The
brides' three-tiered wedding cake
was decorated with teal and cream
colored flowers and was made by
Sylvia Lutz, aunt of the groom The
groom's German chocolatej^ke was
decorated with a bride and groom
figurine and small gold wedding
rings, and was made by Carmen
Strunk, an aunt of the groom. Punch,
nuts, and mints were also served,

Sheri and Richard are both em-
ployed in San Antonio.
