The knte old story is back in the
news this week in Llano county. But
tills time, moves are being taken well
in advance to prevent the situation
from becoming as critical us it was
last summer and fall.
This week, after State Agriculture
Commission-, t Joint <X White toured
the section including Llano, Gov,
Ulan Shivers has asked federal ag
rieultural officicals to make an im-

defense spokesmen Monday, includes

E. W. Tan-*-nee, weather observer
here, reports only 7.10 iaches of rail
tall this year as at July 1 And Lla-
no's average yearly rainfall is 27.73.
Only a trace has fallen in July
fKiring the recent West Texas
floods. Llano got only .20 inch and
rain over the county ranging from
very light showers to .60 inch.
