second year as president and
general manager of the company.
Mr. Lynch has been jn the
service of the company for 26

since 1947 and director since
1938. Ho is a native Texan born
in Marshall. Following his grad-
uation from Texas A. & M. Col-
lege in 1922 he spent a year as a
student engineer with Westing-
house Electric & Manufacturing
Company at East Pittsburg Pa.
first as sales correspondent and
later as service engineer in New
York City. In November 1923
he entered the employ of Texas
Power & Light Company where
he served successively as assist
ant to the efficiency engineer
construction supervisor assist
ant to the superintendent of
transmission and head of the
distribution department which

moved to the executive depart-
ment in 1936 and elected vice-
president.
Mr. Cook a naive Texan born
at Jasper was graduated from
Texas A. & M. College in 1920
after which he entered the em-
ploy of the engineering depart
ment of Texas Power & Light
Company. He has been with the
Texas Power & Light Company
during the entire time in various
capacities except for a few years
wnen he was on successive leaves
of absence on engineering and
executive work in connection
with electric utility operations
m lexas and elsewhere.

Mr. Carpenter told about the pro.

facilities. He stated that installa
tion of a new 12500-kilowatt
turbo-generator at the Waco
poAver plant has been completed
this year and that the new
63000-kilowatt turbo-generator
at the Trinidad generating sta
tion would be ready for service
late in the year.
The stockholders voted to
amend the charter of tho comp-
any so as to increase the author-
ized common stock from 3000-
000 shares to 6000000 shares.
The funds derived from the sale
of additional stock will be used
to finance the compnny's pro
gram of expansion and improve-
ment of its physical property.
