before football ended, but
with an abbreviated team.

basketball team has high
hopes of getting to the
Drum in Austin.

Girls Varsity Basketball ready for district
The Varsity girls took
second in the Bandera
tournament. The team
won their first game of the
tournament against the
Uvalde Lobos with a score
of 29-25. They had an
upsetting loss to Bandera
with the final score being
38-42. The Owl basketball
team ended the
tournament by beating San
Antonio Christian School

Beginning to gel," said
Coach Bessire, "and by
coming together we have
been able to make less
turnovers."
The Varsity team
started out the season with
three disappointing losses
to the Medina Valley
Panthers, Kerville Tivy, and
the Ingram Warriors.
Last Tuesday the
Owl Basketball team
recorded their first win of
the season against
Somerset. The girls
crushed the Bulldogs with a
score of 43-21. Tuesday,
Dec. 5th, the basketball
team played at Southside,
but because of deadlines
the score was not known
by press time.

Andrew Green and Derek Boehle model the hew
basketball uniforms. Derek and Andrew are both
seniors this year and are looking forward to a
great basketball season.
