and Lisa, age 8, formerly of
SA, are now making their
home on the farm they p u t -
chased from Lt. Col. and Mrs.
John R. McFarland and chil-
dren, who moved to Minnea-
polis, Minn.
Mr. Fowler owns a business
in Lytle. They are members
of St. Andrew's Episcopal
Church In SA. Lynne, who is
in the sixth grade and Lisa,
who Is In the third grade, at-
tend Natalia school
Tie Happy Valley Needle
Club met Sept. 2 In the ban-
quet room of the War Horse
Diner with nine members and
a guest, Mrs. RubyNe'uman-
of Devine, attending. Mrs.
Neuman joined the club.
Mrs. A. B. King presided.
A social hour was enjoyed
and refreshments were'served.
The next meeting will be
on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at
2 p. in, in the home of Mrs.
L. M. Cummings at 304 Col-
lonial Parkway in Devine,
Mrs. Clark Herring had as
Thursday guests Mrs, Edwin
Jackson and Sue from SA and,
on Sunday morning, her

visit. Mr. Smith arrived on
Monday night by plane. They

Angeles, Calif, to make their
home. Mrs, Smith is the for-

day morning and had lunch
with his mother, Mrs. John H.
Potter, before journeying on to

Robert Chaney, who is
teaching Englisli, drama and
speech, atjourdanton High
School spent the weekend with
his parents, Mr, and Mrs. J.
S. Chaney. The Chaney's
grandson, Michael Chaney,
from Clifton, also arrived on
Friday and visited until Tues-

Hughie E. Cooper, who
spint 33 days in Baptist Mem-
orial Hospital recuperating
from a severe heart attack, is
now at home on a restricted
schedule,
Mrs. Ora Hamilton and
Mrs. Bep F. Caddell motored
to Dilley Sunday for the day
with Mrs. Hamilton's nephew
and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Bob-
by Stanley.
Mrs. Enoch N. Tju tschke
who was admitted to the Mer-
cy Hospital in Jourdanton on
Tuesday for tests and tre at -
ment, was released Saturday.
Her sister, Mrs, Harley Deis-
ler and Janice from Kings-
ville arrived on Saturday for
the weekend.
Edwin Mays, son of Mr.
and Mrs. S. A. Mays, reports
to his parents that Jje is en-
joying a European tour. His
last letter was from Lisbon,
Portugal. From tliere he plans
to visit Paris and London be-
fore arriving in New York on
Sept. 1. From New York he
will come to Texas.
Mays is employed by Unit-
ed Steel and, until recently
was working at Khoy, Teher-
an.
Mrs. Dan F. Stoy,‘former-
ly of Natalia, but new of U-
valde, is convalescing in Am-
istodd Nursing home there.
Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Bru-
beck and Miss .Anita Morales
returned Monday after visit-
ing over the weekend at Hous-
ton with the Brubecks' daugh-
ter and family, Mr. and Mrs.
R. A. Swartz, Billy, Jimmy
and Tommy. They attended
the Saturday wedding and re-
ception of-Billy and Miss Fa-
bian Savelle at Presbyterian
Chapel.
They also met the Bru-
beck's daughter and family,
the George Keims, from Cor-
pus Christi. Mr. Keim is now
in Memphis, Tenn. for a gov-
ernment installation.
Mrs, A. L. Millet returned
Monday by bus after visiting a
week in Houston with Mr. and
Mrs. Gilbert Thomas.
Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Mos-
ley and son, Keith, enter-
tained their daughter and son-
in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Smith, with a supper at their
home Thursday. Their daugh-
ter, Mrs. Lucky Roy Pruitt,

cently returned from Alaska

tion), before the. honorable
District Court of Medina
County, Texas, to be held at
the courthouse thereof, then
and tliere to show cause why
judgment sliall not be render-
ed for such taxes, penalties, *
interest and costs, and con-
demning said property and or-
dering foreclosure of the con-
stitutional and statutory tax
liens thereon for taxes due the
plaintiff and the taxing units
parties hereto, and those who
may intervene herein, togeth-
er with all interest, penalties,
and costs allowed by law up
to and Including the day of
judgment herein, and all
costs of tills suit.
