It was Tommy Jackson night
in liaruett .Friday as the Lex-
ington aco led his mates to a
34-0 triumph over the Bull-
dogs. Jackson scored all the touch-
downs on runs of 1 56 7 46
and 2 yards. Keith Brown kick-
ed all extra points but the last
one which was blocked by
Chris Clearman.
Lexington led at halftime by
only 7-0 and at the end of the
third by only 14-0. In the
fourth the big fast halfback
broke loose for three more
scores and was never well con-
tained. Oddly Bartlett picked up 14
first downs with 136 yards pas
sing and a meager 90 on the
ground. The Eagles got 17
firsts no yards passing and
amassed 298 aground. Bartlett
completed 9 of 34 passes and
kicked three times for 36
yards. They intercented nnp.

kicking to the Eagle 15. Six
first downs later Lexington was
on the 1 and Jackson hit left
guard for the score
kick made it 7-0.
Bartlett got the kickoff at
the 36. but had to kick to the
Eagle 28 and they kicked dead
on the Bartlett 47. The Doers
i picked up a first before an in
terception at the 37.The Eagles
got two firsts before the ball
went over on the Blue 27 and
Bartlett got three more firsts
before halftime.
Lexington returned the kick-
off to the 33. but punted to the
Bartlett 46. Two more firsts set
Bartlett on the 15 but the ball
went over. Lexington quick-
kicked to their 47 but got the
ball on downs on the 43. Lind-
say intercepted a pass at the
Blue 37 and got a first before
a fumble killed the drive at the
Eagle 44. Jackson ran 56 yards
around right end for the tally
and Brown made it 1 4-0.
Bartlett brought the kick to
the 26 but tried for a first on
fourth and the ball went over
on the Bulldog 36. After three
firsts Jackson smacked tackle
for 7 and the score. Brown
made it 21-0.
From the 34 Bartlett got two
firsts but ran out of steam on
the Eagle 39. After a first
Jackson whipped off right
tackle for 46 and the score.
The kick made it 28-0.
From the 23' a Bartlett pass
was intercepted by Jackson
and two firsts later he ram-
med right tackle for two and a
t.d. Clearman blocked the kick
and it was 34-0.
