Lynn Bartlett really manages
to travel economically. He left
for California last week in his
cup of coffee. The two lone
some tourists decided to drive
the small car into the van and
went merrily on their way.
Lynn arrived at his destination
30 hours ahead of schedule
rested and with surplus gaso-
line money in his pocket.
Kitty Bunker six-yeai's of
age was trying to explain
something to her mother one
day last week. She kept speak-
jng 0f the ulcers. Her mother
asked her who she was talk
ing about and she said "Oh
you know those men who take
up the money at the church."
She wasn't all wrong I hear
that some of the ushers at the
Baptist Church do have ulcers.

Only 178 Bartlett citizens
went to the polls Saturday to
cast their votes. On the Wil-
liamson County side a Tenth
District Congressman was to
be elected along with the four
State constitutional amend-
ments. Bell County voted on
a stock law in the county along
with the amendments. Again
we say that local citizens are
not as interested as they should
be in the welfare of their
county state and national af-

Someone reported to us that
Mrs. Iva Moor and Miss Effie
Lou Modesette were seen driv-

couldn't figure it all out at
their ages until it dawned on
us that their nephew Harry
Modesette has been visiting
them with a baby.
