Evening Circle
Meets Tuesday
The Evening Circle of the
Presbyterian Women of the
Church met Tuesday night at
the home of Mrs. Ben Parnell
for the monthly meeting.
The meeting opened with
prayer and was presided over
by the chairman Mrs. Ben
Parnell who also gave the
evening meditation from the
137th Psalm.
Mrs. E. E. Lindemann dis
cussed "Individual Laments"
taken from the Psalms. The
next meeting will be held at
the Lindemann home.
Refreshments were served
by the hostess to Mrs. James
Bailey Mrs. Erwin Raeke Mrs.
E. E. Lindemann and Miss Nor-
ma Beckman.

Aniigas Class Has
Birthday Monday
Monday evening the Amigas
Class of the First Baptist
Church met in the dining room
of Henry's Cafe to celebrate the
30th birthday of the class.
The dining room was beauti-
fully decorated in Spring flow-
ers with the speaker's table cen-
tered with pink carnations a
gift from B. Y. Daniel in mem-
ory of his wife the first teach-
er of the class.
Mrs. Cecil Harris gave the in-
vocation followed by "Happy
Birthday" sung by the class.
Mrs. L. A. Hempel gave the
welcome to members and visi-
tors. Mrs. C. R. Lindsay was
the guest speaker and Mrs.
Ford Mann led the group discus-
sion of "Birthday Parties of the
Past." Mrs. Cecil Overby and
Mrs. Ford Mann gave a humor-
ous skit and the class sang the
class song "Blest be the Tie."
Mrs. Creth Lewis gave the ben-
ediction. Those attending were Mes-
