Congratulations to Bob Ro-
zacky our Williamson County
Commissioner on the construc-
tion work he has in progress
on the cemetery road. The
right-of-way has been widened
new ditches have been cut a
onage nas been replaced and
a drain pipe has been installed
to eliminate flooding of the
road. The road filler has been
laid much of the gravel has
been hauled and a topping will
complete the road. I'm fn.v
from being a road construc-
tion engineer and can't rive
you a complete picture of the
project. You'll have to see for
yourself. Thanks Mr. Rozacky
we deeply appreciate vour
work and we are lookinir for-
Jwai'd to its completion.
Some thieves have been on
the prowl out at the city cem-
etery again. It has been called
to our attention that beautiful
pot plants have been stolen
from some of the graves. Just
because some of the graves
are of those not havmcr close
relatives residing Here now
does not mean that the flowers
got there by mistake nor that
they will not be missed. Surely
these flowers were not taken
by Bartlett residents. We can't
think of a single person who
would stoop so low as to steal
from the dead.
remarked this week that her
four children had had the
mumps one at a time and then
she took them. The last of her
four broke out with the chicken
pox this week; We hope they
don't start breaking out with
the measles if so. we'll be vis
iting her in another month in
Austin.
Oleta (Mrs. D. A. Swope)
doesn't just hint to her family
that her birthday is approach-
ing. We heard that the week
before she baked a cake which
she centered with one candle.
The family got the message.
She won't tell us her age but
we know that she hasn't stop-
ped having birthdays.

or where one may go to get an
ad for her paper. Mrs. Clyde
Jones published of The Hol-

derstand the ad will not run
until next week.
Have you noticed the new

was overheard asking Preston
Isaac local insurance man
and Clyde (Cotton) Hinze lo-
cal Lonq Star Gas Co. repre
sentative if they were going
to have to be dipped before
moving into their new offices
on Clark Street. We wonder if
the chief thought they were a
couple of alley rats moving to
"silk stocking avenue."
