. .v-rjr"! BilJy Lou Moore told us this
FORD FORTIM week that she had finally per-

wear some walking shorts about
the house. She said he got
caught in the attire and acted
like he was as embarrassed as

A FACTS AND FUN
BY NORA FOUD
Flora Meissner must have
found some apple boxes for
chairs. According to one of her
neighbors she has been cooking
for guests.
Mrs. Effie Lou Grigsby who
lias been serving as a temporary
waitress at a local cafe had
trouble one day last week. Some-
one came in the cafe and order-
ed a malt and she worked for
about five minutes trying to get
a couple of dips of ice cream
into the container but failed to
make it. She called on the pro-
prietor for assistance. Jris
Henry discovered that she had
been trying to dip the ice cream
through the cardboard top of
the carton. Effie Lou remarked
"I sure hope that Mrs. Jim
Thomas doesn't learn about
this."
Mrs. Tony Kandare nee Ei-
leen Sides of Ohio is here vis-
iting friends. You should hear
her tell of her experiences as a
cook. She can make coffee
toast scramble eggs and cream
potatoes. She remarked Monday
"I'll learn; we have only been
married six months."
We hear that the Elmer Cry-
ers are prepared for hungry
guests. Last Friday they re-
turned home from a two week
visit in North Carolina and
found that their deep freeze
was out of order. It seems that
most of the meat was still fro-
zen. Leona spent Saturday cook-
ing in the house and Elmer was
busy in the yard barbecueing.
How lucky can you be?
From the remarks pertaining
to the commotion in the Repub-
lican party over the possible
(almost positive) nomination of
Sen. Bnrrv Goldwater as the
Republican presidential nominee
we Democrats will not have
any trouble at the polls in No-
vember. We feel sure that the
great majority of Democrats
and many Republicans feel that
Lyndon B. Johnson is the most
qualified and capable man in the
U. S. for president. Of course
there are some people who are
not interested in who might be
our president.

Haye you ever seen 7000 grown men cry? You'd think success would make them happy but ever since Mustang
came out seven thousand Ford Dealers all over the country have been weeping and wringing their hands. They
can't get as many Mustangs as they would like. All this would upset us too except it's happened to us before.
You see this was the hottest sales year in Ford Division history even before Mustang came out. At the beginning
c the modcl-year dealers couldn't get enough of our big hot Super Torque Ford Hardtops (sales up 54)... or
luxurious Thunderbirds (sales up 68). Falcon sales are almost as big as Chevy II and Valiant combined. Fairlane
connnues 10 oe a leader in its new. so even though some people would like us to put
all our plants to work on Mustang we can't let down our hundreds of thousands of Ford
Thunderbird Falcon and Fairlane lovers. Why don't you come see what all the shouting's
about? Ask your Ford Dealer for a test drive. (You might even get him to smile.)
