kitchen shower by the Zeta
Theta Chapter of Delta Zeta
Sorortity at Sam Houston State
University in May.

Texas in the home of Mickie

length gown trimmed in lace.
Her long veil was trimmed in
lace with floral design.

A double ring ceremony in
the First Presbyterian Church
in Opelousas, La., united Miss
Vicki Lynn Adams and David
Charles Hearne, HI in mar-
riage. Rev. Ned Rutland offici-
ated at the 6 p.m. wedding on
June 10.
The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. Susie Ford Adams of
Opelousu, and James Robert
Adams of Jennings. Parents of
the groom are Mr. and Mrs.
David Charles Hearne Jr. of
Opelousu, formerly of Silsbee.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride chose a gown
of white silk organza for her
wedding. The bodice wu ac-
cented with Alencon lace heavi-
ly beaded with seed pearls and
tiny crystal baggets. The sheer
yoke of silk organza wu
highlighted with a lace mandar-
in collar. Short cap sleeves of
lace and the full floor length
skirt complimented the empire
lines of the gown. Her skirt
draped to form a cathedral
length train in back. Lace
daisies edged the skirt and
train. Her triple-tiered veiling
of white illusion fell from a
mantilla cap heavily trimmed
with seed pearls. She carried a
cascade of silk spring flowers
accented with a white orchid.
Pink and white ribbons sc-
cented the lines of the peasant
styled gowns of white embroid-
ered eyelet worn by the bride’s
attendants. They were fashion-
ed with full tiered flow length
skirts. Each carried a nosegay
of silk spring flowers.

of Lafayette. Brideemaids were
Mrs. Rom Mary Roy, and Miu
Jackie Deicotnbra, both of
Opelousu.

reception the couple left on a
wedding trip to points of
interest in Colorado. The new
Mr. and Mrs. Hearne will
reside in Opelousu where she
is attending Nursing School and
he is employed by Louisiana
Southern Forest Products.
