“I’ve been working since I was
13 years old and I turned 63 March
13." Purvis said. “I figured 50 years
of working was enough.”
Purvis indicated he is looking
forward to the slower pace that
comes with retirement.
“My wife, Barbara, and I have
built a new home sitting on four
acres, an old-timey house with a
dog run. and I’ll probably put in a
garden." Purvis said. “I’ve got 30
different mixed breeds of chickens,
so I’ll fiddle with them, probably
build a shop and do some fishing
with my old buddy Chuck Staton.”
