Gray and Gentry Powell are
building self-feeders for the
hogs they purchased recently.
We took a stroll through the
shop tho other morning and it
looks like the ooys are uomg
creditable iobs on the self-feed
ers.- Being as these lads are only
freshmen they are learning the
use of the tools in the shop
very well.
Snlvfitinn of the tools from
Booker T. Washington's old
agriculture building which had
several burnings is in the pro
cess of being carried on by the
Vo-Ag classes. The tools are
beimr renaired and shined so
they can still be used.
While all of the tools are be
ing repaired space is being
made for them. All of the tools
Inure been taken off tho walls.
and the walls have been paint
ed. Then the tools are being
placed back on the walls with
certain tools to a certain sec
tion.
Valuable reference books for
vocational agriculture were de-
stroyed in the fire at Booker
T. Washington's agriculture
shop but the state will replace
all books that were damaged
and not out-dated. These new
books will be placed in the local
Vo-Ag library which comes in
mighty handy for reference
work and classroom studies.
Wilson Plastics plant in Tem
ple has donated the local chap
ter 400 pounds of scrap For
mica which they can no longer
use.
Mr. V. C. Marshall local Vo-
Ag teacher stated that he
thought the Formica could be
put to good use by the local
chapter. He said that the For-
mica could be used on small
objects such as coffee tables
and end tables.
Wilson Plastics we thank
you and we appreciate it very
much.
Mr. Marshall attended the
Central District of Vo-Ag
teachers meeting in Temple
this past Monday. Topics on the
agenda to be discussed at the
meeting were: the setting of a
date for the district sweetheart
contest; the setting of a time
and site for the district parlia
mentary procedure contest
More details on this meeting
will be published next week.

taught in Bartlett High School
is divided into three classes.

AH three of these classes have
started in earnest the competi
tion to see which seven or eight
members represent Bartlett at
tho district parliamentary pro-
cedure meeting. Mr. Marshall
said ho would probably select
the best boys from Vo-Ag II
and III for the chapter conduct-
ing team this year. The Vo-Ag
I class makes up tho Greenhand
