the Saturday afternoon wed
ding of Miss DeVonna Prikryl
and David Lee Naivar.
Parents of the bride are Mr.
and Mrs. Ignatius R. Prikryl
of Bartlett and the bridegroom
is the son of Mrs. Lygie Nai-
var of Taylor and the late Mr.
Naivar.
Rev. Msgr. Gilbert P. Pekar
of St. Cecilia's Church of Hou-
ston uncle of the bride read
the double-ring vows. Nuptial
music was provided by Mrs.
James Bartosh organist and
Miss Joyce David of Granger
soloist.
The bride given in marriage
by her father wore an ongi

Sharon Naivar of Taylor.
The attendants wore floor-
length Juliet gowns of avocado
miramist over satin styled with
decollete necklines The modi
fied empire gown featured
putt sleeves sneer back pa
nels accented by a satin bow
wore matching pumps and
short wrist length gloves in
white. They wore carved ivory
rose pendants a gift of the
bride. They carried pale pink
candles encircled by white fea
thered carnations and green
cry tied with avocado stream
ers. Their headpieces were
clusters of white feathered
carnations centered with a
pink sweetheart rose from
which fell showers of avocado
ribbon.
The flower girls wore short
white A-line dresses of white
miramist over satin featuring
puff sleeves and white satin
bows at the shoulder. They car-
ried nosegays of white feather-
ed carnations centered with
pink rosebuds.

Presiding at the serving
tables were Miss Roselee Prik-
ryl Miss Paula Childers. Mrs.
William E. Galloway of Aus-
tin Mrs. Davis Simpson of
Houston Mrs. Daniel Kuhl and
Mrs. Mclvin Schwettman of
Taylor.
Others in the house party
were Miss Kathryn Kirchner
Miss Denise Bartosh of Taylor
and Miss Patsy Pavlasek of
Bartlett.
Rice bags were distributed
by Miss Mary Dobias of Austin
and Miss Lana Turner of Rock-
dale. Following a wedding trip to
the Lfulf Coast the newly-
weds will reside in Austin.
Both graduates of St. Mary's
Catholic High School in Tay-
lor the bride also graduated
from Temple Junior College
and attended the University of
Texas at Austin where she
was a member of the Business
Administration Club and Phi
Theta Kappa. She is employed
as a computer operator at
University of Texas Measure
ment and Evaluation Center.
The bridegroom a high
school class president Student
Council treasurer and mem-
ber of the varsity basketball
team also attended TJC. He
is employed as a machinist at
Taylor Iron-Machine Works.
Mrs. Naivar hosted the re-
hearsal dinner Friday at her
home in Taylor. The couple
exchanged gifts and presented
gifts to their attendants.

past week-end.
