get her hair up like the woman in the movie "10." She was not real
sure what that movie was, but she liked her hair-do. The
operation took two sessions, due to the energetic youngsters
inability to sit still, reported Mrs. Sessions.

Each entry in the Tots on
Parade spent some time
talking to the five judges
alone They answered
questions about their
families, pets, where they
live and what games and
toys they like best. Jim
Bartley, son of Terry and
Kim Bartley expounded
freely about his favorite
things. "What is your
grandmother's name?" the
judges asked. Many of the
youngsters looked at the
judges incredulously and
answered, "Grandmother."

Difficult choices
Chosing three winners from each catagory wasn't an easy task for the five judges who had been
recruited by county agent Janie Crump. The judges commented on the maturity and openness of
the young men they visited with, first as a group and then individually. The judges are left to right,
Gordon Ford, county agent, Mount Vernon; Betty Pinkerson, Dairy Council nutrition consultant;
Huella Campbell, county agent, Mount Pleasant; Mary Sue Cole, extension agent, Franklin, Camp,
Delta and Rains Counties and Edith Bells, county agent, Paris.
