Pioneer Valley Spring Family
Holds Week-End Reunion Here
Descendents of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Bill Phillips met at the park
on the Llano River at the Andrew
Schoenfeld place for a family re-
union last Friday, Saturday, and
Sunday About 60 people were
present. .
The late Bill Phillipps, with his
family, moved to Valley Spring
about 105 years ago; and are said
to have been the first settlers
there. The next year, other fam
dies arrived to make their home
in the pretty little valley which
derived its name from the many
springs along the Phillips Creek
■ which has its heading from a
i big spring near the original Phil
lips home This original home is
; still standing. It is now occupied
i by Mr and Mrs Jim Phillips who
have remodeled the house and
made a modern home of it; how
ever, underneath the outer cover
: ings, the log house still stands
It has weathered many storms
i and many cold winters and hot
summers.

with a farewell party last Satur
day night, given by Helen Feuge
at the home of her parents, Mr.

John's Lutheran Church Luther
League, and their parents. Recre-
ation included games of dominoes
and “42.” Don was presented with
a number of gifts.
