Dear Ann Landers: I ain
sitting at rny typewriter in-
volved in a boring and tedious
job - updating a mailing list for
a small organization.- Suddenly
it-occurred to me that you could
do a f ridden do us service' by
printing my letter,
1 wonder how many people
who receive our organization’s
newsletter pitch it into the
wastebasket without even
opening the envelope? I would
Ur more than happy to take
these people off our mailing list
if they’d identify themselves.
The savings in postage, not to
mention time and energy;
would tie greatly appreciated.
Simply send a note with-the
label. Say: Please remove my
name from your mailing list,”
And for those who have the
problem in reverse, 1 urge you
to be persistent'1. 1 had to write
one such note three times
before they stopped sending me
their mailings,
Thanks for the assist, Ann! -

Some organizations and

that push this stuff never give
up. 'ITiis sort of thing should be
reported to your nearest post
