September wedding date of their daughter Nancy Marie Crandell
to Gary Don Robinson. Robinson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. V.L.
Robinson of Sulphur Springs. The wedding is planned for Sep-
tember 20 at 7:30 p.m. The place of the wedding will be announced

Me Intire Reunion
The annual Mclntire Family
Reunion will be held in the Ag
Building at City Park on Sun-
day, Aug. 17. Friends and
relatives are invited to bring a
picnic lunch and join in the
fellowship.
Hargrave Reunion
The weekend of July 4 was the
celebration in memory of the
105th birthday of the late Mrs.
Laura Hargrave. The reunion
was held at the ranch home of
her grandson, Rex Hargrave
and his family, Beth, Melissa
and Kelly. The home is in the
Tira Community.
Relatives began arriving on
Friday from Roswell, N.M.
where the last reunion was held
five years ago. By Saturday
evening, 45 were present for
dinner. Sunday activities in-
cluded the homecoming at Tira
church and cemetary. Plans
were made for the next reunion
in 1985.

The City Cemetery Society
met Monday, Aug. 4 in the
board room of the Peoples
National Bank at 10 a.m.
Margaret Thomas presided in
the absence of Drue Brinker,
president.
Margie Clement,
Beautification chairperson,
explained the new book she is
setting up. Beginning in Jan.,
1980, all graves and lot num-
bers, and owners will be
recorded, making a complete
map for the society.
The nominating committee,

Thornton, Maude Taylor and
Sissy Moore submitted the

were then elected. The new

Miss Vicki Vaden, bride elect
of David Nugent, was honored
with a pantry shower on
Tuesday, Aug. 5 in the home of
Mrs. Jacquelyn Brice on
Houston Street.
Hostesses for the event were
Mrs. Brice and her daughter,
Karey. Guests were served hors
d’ oeuvres, cookies and punch
from a table covered with a
quilted cloth. Candles, napkins
and flower arrangements
carried out Miss Vaden’s
chosen colors of apricot and
brown.
Miss Vaden and Nugent will
be married, Friday, Aug. 22 in
Spence Chapel of the First
Baptist Church.
Rice Bag Shower
A rice bag shower was held
for Felicia Bradford, who will
be married Aug. 15. She is the
daugher of Mr. and Mrs.
Newman Bradford.
The affair was attended by 25
of Miss Bradford’s high school
chums. The bags were made up
in blue and white, her chosen
colors.
The shower, hosted by Velma
Rawson, Lynda Hager and
Margin Latham was held in the
Latham home. The table was
covered with a calico cloth
topped with a center piece, soft
drinks, chips and dips.
Coffee Shower
Miss Amy McGrady, bride-
elect of Tony Whitlow, was
honored with a coffee and old-
fashioned pounding at the home
of Mrs. E.W. Massey on
Saturday, Aug. 2.
Registering guests was Miss
Susan McGrady, sister of the
bride-elect.
Flowers for the table were
ornamented with miniature
canned articles, emphasizing
the theme of the occassion.
Many useful grocery items and
recipes were recieved by the
honoree.
