Bogus Money
San Antonio, Mar. 4 W) —
Some 50 counterfeit 20-dollar
federal reserve notes have
been picked up in San Anton-
io during the past three weeks,
a Secret Service spokesman
said today.
The bogus bills began ap-
pearing during the San Anton-
io Stock Show, the spokesman
said. They turned up at stores,
banks and other establish-
ments.
Described as “not particu-
larly good’’ counterfeits, they
are drawn on federal reserve
banks in San Francisco and
St. Louis, the spokesman said.
No arrests have been made.
The Secret Service spokes-
man said other counterfeit
bills have been found in Las
Vegas and that plants where
the bills were made have been
seized.
