vows in a double-ring ceremony
in Spence Chapel of the First
Baptist Church, June 20 at 7:30
p.m. The ceremony was per-
formed by the bride’s father,
Mack Jenrtings. *
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mack
Jennings of Star Route. The
groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Alfred Owens of Sulphur
Springs. The bride was given in
marriage by her father and
mother.
Carrying a cascade of roses,
carnations and baby's breath
the bride floated down the aisle
in a white gown of quiana and
Venice lace. The gown was in
an empire A-line silhouette.
The lace framed the ’U’ shaped
yoke of point d’ espirit which
had a lace Cameo neckline,
lace reappeared as cap sleeves
and a tracing for the crescent
waist. A crystal pleated skirt
with chapel train was length
embellished with a narrow
sculptured Venice encasement.
Complimenting the gown was
an exquisite waltz length
mantilla veil with lettuce edge.
Medallions of lace snowflaked
the illusion veil. The cascade
was attached to a Renaissance
cap of Venice lace heavily
encrusted in pearl embroidery
with pearl tear drops in the net
lining and head piece. Illusion
formed the crown of the cap

Mrs. Dale Lee Owens
which was adorned with lace
roses, centered with clusters of
pearl stamen. To either side of
the veil appeared a scalloped
lace profile extending from the
cap to fingertips.
Maid of honor was Sandra
Thomas of Independence, Miss,
with sisters of the bride, Nanci
and Amy Jennings serving as
bridesmaids. The bride’s at-
tendants wore apricot gowns
with blouson overlays and split
cape sleeves tied at the
shoulders. They carried
bouquets of daisies, apricot
carnations and baby’s breath
and also had flowers in their
hair. Allison Jennings, sister of
the bride, acted as flower girl.
The bridegroom's attendents
were all from Sulphur Springs.
Tony Ray Moss served as best
man. Groomsmen were Grant
Looney and Mike Gilreath. The
ushers were Roy Preuss and
David Scott. Sam Owens,
nephew of the bridegroom
served as ring bearer.
“The Wedding Song" and
“The Lord’s Prayer” were
provided by vocalist Janice
Tucker of Sanger and organist
Barbara Taylor of Sulphur
Springs. ^
A reception hosted by the
bride’s parents in the
Fellowship Hall of the church
followed the ceremony. The
bride’s table was covered in a
beige lace overlay and topped
with a four-tiered cake
decorated with apricot satin
bells and silk daisies. The table
also held the bride’s bouquet
and a silver candleabra. The
bridegroom’s table had a beige
linen cover, brass coffee ser-
vice and chocolate on chocolate
pake. Rice bags were passed to
the guests by Rebecca and
Cathy Rentz of Waco, nieces of
the bride.
Members of the houseparty
were Kathy Shaeffer, Margaret
McNeil, Vicki Vaden, Nita
Colley, Leslie Hadaway and
Laura Wilemon. Joan Owens,
sister of the bridegroom
presided at the registry.
The rehearsal dinner, hosted
by the parents of the
bridegroom was held at the
Ramada Inn on June 19.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Owens
are both graduates of Sulphur
Springs High School. Owens is
employed by Pepsi-Cola and
Mrs. Owens is employed by the
Department of .Human
Resources.
Following a wedding trip to
Dallas Mr. and Mrs. Dale Lee
Owens will make their home in
Sulphur Springs.
Janis Aria . Hazen and
Timothy Caroll Hunt were
united in marriage on June 14 at
2:30 p.m. in the DeShong Chapel
at Paris Junior College. The
bride is the daughter of Mrs.
Gene Hazen of Hutchinson,
Kan. Parents of the bridegroom
are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ray
Hunt of Sulphur Springs.
The bride was escorted to the
altar by her brother, Donald
Hazen of Hutchinson. She was
weraing her mother’s wedding
dress, a floor length ivory
sa^inette gown with a long-
sleeved organdy overlay and
chapel train. An empire waist
and shoulder yoke were ac-
cented by lace. An elbow length
veil was trimmed by matching
lace edging. She carried a
Victorian style silk flower
bouquet. A cream orchid was
the focal point with accents of
yellow lilies, ivory lace, and
long streamers of lace and
satin.
The maid of honor was Candy
Moss of Baytown. She wore a
yellow floor length gown with a
flowered overlay. Her bouquet
was yellow and orange silk lilies
with yellow and orange
streamers.
The bridegroom’s brother,
Monty Hunt of Commerce acted
as best man. James Erwin of
Paris served as usher.
Musical selections were sung
by Mr. and Mrs. Monty Hunt
and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Watkins
of Plano.
The wedding ceremony was
performed by Rev. Gary
Regan, District Superintendent
of the Paris-Sulphur Springs
district of the United Methodist
Church. The entrance to the
chapel was draped with swags
of greenery and white ribbons
held by large white doves.
The chapel altar rails were
prepared with swags of
greenery intertwined with
stephonites. Brass spirals and
Gothic shaped candelabras
decorated the choir loft. A large
arrangement of white gladiolas,
and yellow spider mums were
the focal point ofthe chapel
decorations.
A reception followed the
ceremony on the lawn outside
the chapel. The table^^were
skirted with a double pleated
yellow sheer cloth with white
Swags fastened with white bows
withlong streamers. A three-
tiered cake was decorated with
yellcv and white lilies. It was
topped by a small silk, flower
nosegay. Yellow almond punch
was served from a cut glass
punch bowl. The. centerpiece
was white, silk magnolias and
caladium leaves. Two five-
branch candelabras with yellow
tapered candels were on each
side of the centerpiece. The
reception table was attended by
Mary Ward of Dallas, Mrs.
Hunt and Rhonda Sherril of
Paris. Presiding at the registry
was Sarah Smith of Dallas.
Rice, bags were passed oiit by
Monica and Meridith Hunt and
T.J. McBurney. The chapel and
reception decorations and
bouquest were prepared by the
bridegroom. \
The bride is a graduate of the
University oft, Kansas and
employed hy fhe Tejas Girl
Scout “Council in Dallas. The
groom is a graduate of East
Texhs State University in
Commerce and is employed by
the Plano Independent-School
District. The couple will reside
in Plano. '
Mrs. Timothy Carroll Hunt
May Wedding Vows Told
Laura Lynn Attlesey and
Danny Lynn Teer repeated
wedding vows Saturday, May
31, in an eight o’clock ceremony
in the Greenpond Baptist
Church. The Reverend Dale
Ruggles officiated kt the
ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Attlesey and
the grand-daughter of Mrs.
Virgie Sartin of Yantis. The
bridegroom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. John Beezley of Como
and the grandson of Mr and
Mrs. Joe Teer of Greenpond.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a can-
dlelight lace dress, handmade,
by her aunt, Mrs. Elizabeth
Allison. It was accented at the
waist, neckline and tied at the
' cuffs with candlelight satin. A
hat of the same lace was
trimmed in satin and tulle and
accented with tiny satin
rosettes completing the
costume.
Her bridal bouquet was made
of pastel dllk flowers with pastel
ribbons of the bride’s chosen
colors green, peach and blue.
Mrs. Linda Fails, sister of the
bride, served as her matron of
honor. Other attendants were
Mrs. Debbie Shirley of Com-
merce and Janet Fisher of
College Park, Md.
Attendents wore long quiana
dresses with print capes, each
was wearing a different pastel
color. They carried nosegays of
yellow and white silk daisies.
Rick Holland of Houston,
served as best man. Groom-
smen were James Jones and
Mike Teer. James Max Teer
and Gary Johnson of Como
were the ushers.
Aunt of the bridegroom, Mrs.
Elaine Frasher of Irving, ac-
companied Mrs. Fails as she ,
sang “Let It Be Me.” The other
vocalist, Lori Teer sang, “You
Light Up My Life.” Mrs. Debbie
Dooley of Brian presented
reading entitled, “My Dreams
Are Yours.”
Immediately following the
ceremony, a reception was held
at the Reilly Springs Com-
munity Center. Houseparty
members included Julie Hilton
of Wolfe City, Mrs. Dooley,
Rhonda King, Becky Beezley
and Miss Teer. Melissa Beezley
presented rice bags to the
guests. Mrs. Betsy Whitson
presided at the registry.
The bride’s cake was a three-
tiered white one with peach and
blue flowers. The groom’s cake
was chocolate with miniature
building tools.
The couple was honored with
a rehearsal dinner May 30 at the
Kingsway Restaurant. The
dinner was hosted by Mr. and
Mrs. John Beezley.
Following a trip to Dallas, the
new Mr. and Mrs. Danny Lynn
Teer will reside in Reilly
Springs.
