Memorial Garden Honoring
Ruth A. Stirling Ashcroft
A memorial garden to be
erected in memory of Mrs.
Ruth A. Stirling Ashcroft was
approved by members of the
City Cemetery Society at their
meeting Monday, April 7. Mrs.
Ashcroft was a past-president
of the society.
With unanimous approval the
privet hedge at the central
gateway of the cemetery will be
removed. The hedge, which
was considered a traffic
hazard, will be replaced by
background plantings of
Burfordi holly fronted with
azaleas and petunias.
The business session was
presided over by Mrs. Ben
Wood in the abscence of Mrs.
Rayphield Blinker.
