heimer were recently honor-
ed with a Graduation Meal at
the City Park in Windthorst.
David is the son of Ralph
and Clara Veitenheimer and
graduated from Windthorst
High School, May 26. Susan
is the wife of Gerald
Veitenheimer and graduated
from Midwestern School of
Nursing on May 18th. A
meal was served to approx-
imately 85 friends and
relatives. Games were
played throughout the after-

Tuesday evening in the
Fellowship Hall of First
Baptist Church, Holliday.
Colors of pink and burgundy
were used in the refresh-
ments and decorations. A
lace cloth covered the
refreshment table which was
centered with an arrange-
ment of spring flowers in
colors of pink, burgundy, and
white.
Mothers of the bridal
couple, Mrs. Fred Daume
and Mrs. Danny Evans, both
of Holliday, received guests
with the honoree. They were
presented corsages of silk
orchids in shades of the party
colors.
Mrs. Lanora Wikel of
Wichita Falls, the prospect-
ive groom's grandmother
was also one of the honor
guests.
Some 43 guests were
registered from Iowa Park,
Wichita Falls, Dean and
Holliday.
Hostesses were Mrs. Rexine
Hardin, Margie Ruth, Gayle
Parish, Dee Cottrell, Doris
Stone, Pat Holt, Vicky
Wilson, Mickey Parnell,
Elwanda Stone, Donna Ezzell
and Kathleen Hardage.
The couple will be married
June 28 in the Trinity
American Lutheran Church
in Wichita Falls.

Almost a hundred descend-
ants, and friends, of Archer
pioneers John B. Gholson
and wife Carolyn Walters
Gholson, gathered Saturday
under the Cox Grape Arbor
at Fort Belknap for the
annual reunion.
Guests were registered from
Bowie, Pasadena, Asper-
mont, Iowa Park, Old Glory
Saginaw, Graham, Odessa,
Galena Park, Archer City,
Holliday, Granbury, Scot-
land, and Fort Worth in
Texas; Artesia, N. M.,
Thermal, Calif., and Tecum-
seh, Ada, and Maude, Okla.
A group of musicians from
Archer City provided musical
entertainment. They were
George Gholson, James
Trent, Pat Brock, George
Dickey and Janet Stubbs at
the piano. Roy Steward of
Cumby was also a member1 of
the group.
A buffet of fried catfish and
the trimmings was served
throughout the afternoon.
Linda Richardson of
Pasadena, presented a film
of the 1984 gathering.
Official hosts were Leroy
and Jean Gholson, A. J. and
Frankie Lamb, all of Bowie
and Bobby and Pauline Riley
of Graham.

The demure sweetheart
neckline was made of a sheer
net yoke, lace stand-up
collar. The gown was
accented with lace bishop
sleeves. The chapel length
train had a ruffle-edge &
accented with a soft satin
bow. The bride’s head piece
was accented with simulated
pearls & had an attached veil
that was trimmed with
chantilly-type lace.
The groom wore a white full
dress tux with a traditional
long-tail coat.
Maid of honor was Karen
Humpert, Sister Of the
Bride. Bridesmaids were
Sandra Winter, Kris Schenk
& Sue Rhodes, Sister of the
Groom. They wore gowns of
lilac & white with a fitted
bodice, gored skirts with lace
inserts, accented with a 3
tiered lace neckline, off the
shoulder style, & natural
waist with a satin ribbon tie
belt. They carried bouquets
with a mixture of shades of
lilac & white silk flowers &
babies breath. Flower girl
was Susan Schroeder. She
wore a white taffeta gown
accented by a jewel neckline
& attached lace capelet. The
waistline was slightly raised
& accented with a satin bow
trim. The full skirt was
trimmed with a lace flounced
hem.
Best man was Jim Johnson.
Groomsmen were Andy
Chester, Gary Humpert,
Brother of the Bride, & Steve
Simpson. Ushers were
Lawrence Schroeder Jr.,
Brad Berend, Johnny Mat-
lock & Corfey Davidson.
Candle-lighters were Mark,
Matthew & Brad Schroeder.
Lector was Floyd Humpert,
Uncle of the Bride.
Parents of the Bride gave
the reception in the Parish
Hall, with a dance given by
the Groom & groomsmen,
featuring “Grass Fire”.
Assisting were Sharon Wolf
& Deanna Scheffe. Bartend-
ers were Harold Schroeder,
Tim, Steve, & Mike Humpert
and Chuck Henderson,

Windthorst High School.
She is employed by Over-

Wichita Falls. The groom
graduated from Jacksboro
High School. He is a student
attending MSU. He is
employed by Bekins Van
Lines in Wichita Falls.
After a trip to Arlington/Ft.
Worth, the couple will make
their home in Wichita Falls.
