Schreiber Wins
Colleen Schreiber, reporter for the
Livestock Weekly, published in San
Angelo, has been named winner of the
1994 Outstanding News Reporting
Award given by the Texas Sheep and
Goat Raiser's Association.
A1988 graduate of Texas Tech Univer-
sity, with a degree in Range Manage-
ment, Miss Schreiber has been a re-
porter for the nationally recognized
livestock publication since 1990. Prior
to joining the Livestock Weekly staff,
she was a research assistant at the
Texas A&M University Research and
Extension Center at Uvalde. While at-
tending Texas Tech, Miss Schreiber
took part in a number of summer intern
programs, including working for the
Ken-Ada Ranches in Bartlesville, Okla-
homa; doing special studies in cattle
and sheep operations in New South
Wakes, Australia; as a bio technician for
the Nature Convervancy in Johnstown,
Nebraska; and as a lab assisant at the
Texas Agriculture Experiment Station
at Sonora.
Colleen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Lloyd Schreiber of Scotland, where the
family has ranching, farming, and con-
crete contracting interests.
