Wildcat Band"journeyed to Jacks-
boro, Friday, March 6, to parti-
cipate in a concert and sight-
reading contest. The very
enthused members went with the
hope of winning sweepstakes, but
were just as happy when they
came out with a first in sight-
reading and a second in concert.
The Band played "Rio Blanco"
and "Benton Hall" for their part
in the concert. Although they
did not win sweepstakes, we are
very proud of our band and the
fact that they did bring back a
trophy.
There was also a twirling
contest in which ten girls from
A.C.H.S. participated. ^ Linda
Strawn, Dottie Murphy, and Missy
Thurlkill received a first divi-
sion and Emilia Yeager, Tom Far-
mer, Sue McMurtry, Barbara Allen,
Gwen Yeager, Sue Cox, and Daisy
Pollock received a second.
Linda, Missy, and Dottie made up
a trio that received a second
division.
Congratulations, all of you]]
you have done a good job and we
are proud of you. Good luck and
keep up the good work.
