district officer
Bethalice Berry was recently-
elected district parliamentarian
of the Greenbelt Student council
Association of District 12.
Bethalice, accompanied by Mrs.
Mullis, attended an executive
board meeting in Seymore Thursday
night, October 11.
Other members of the executive
board attending include the prest-
dent, Bobby Scott from Graham;
vice-president, Robert Brown from
Seymore;secretary,Linda Truelove
from Vernon; and their Student
Council sponsors. Joe Moore ,
president of the Vernon Student
Council also attended the meet.
The purpose of the meeting was
to plan the district meet v;hich
will be in Vernon the later part
of November,
The Senior Class has started
a new money-making project. If
you need Christmas Cards, all
occasion cards, or Birthday
cards, contact anyone of the
twenty-seven seniors who will be
selling them during the next few
weeks. The cards are priced at
One Dollar per box. The Senior
Class also is In charge of the
concession stands at the foot-
ball games, is selling stickers
before the games, and will have
a money-making project during.

On Wednesday the Student body
observed Oil Progress Week bv
attending a program sponsored by
the Student Council. Mr* Golden
of Wichita Palls presented the
program.
The "Magic Barrel" contained
many modern-day miracles, many
which we use every day, and
others that are fastly becoming
popular. These products came
originally from crude oil or
natural gas* Among some of
these were sprays, wraps, shing-
les, nvlon, carpets, furnitures,
plastice, hose, enamels, as-
phalt, sweaters, dyes, ropes,
pipes, coat linings, costume
jewlry and many others.
