Senior Ploy Reveals Hidden
Talent???
Tuesday night the seniors pre-
sented their annual play and it
was a complete success. Not only
was it a financial success but
some of the seniors’, hidden ta-
lents were discovered.
The central figure in "Little
Miss Somebody"was Marcia McGriff
as Laurie, who showed her roman-
tic acting abilities along with
Johnny Linscottas herboy friend,
Tony. Other love makers were .
Tommy Robertson acting the part
of Owen opposite Sarah Tarr as
Claire. They had their troubles
but finally came together in
spite of interference by her for-
tune-hunting mother, portrayed
beautifully by Sue Ann Peyton.
SENIORS Honored'
With Party
The Seniors attended a party
given by the Methodist Church
on - Tuesday, April 30. A delic-
ious me a 1 of baked ham, potato
salad, green b^-ans with cheese
sauce, hot rolls, peach cobbler
alamode, and coffee was served
in the Fellowship Hall, ’ Card
tables were set up and on each
a rose was placed for the center-
piece .
After the dinner was served,
wo then had enrollment. ' Each-
person was either placed in the
Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or
Senior class. We then went to
our classes and each one of the
classes chose a yell and had an
assignment. The bell rang, and
each class went back to the main
auditorium for games of tug-of-
war, art aquatic game, eating
crackers and-then whistling, and
kicking the football from person
to person. -We then had a skit
put on by half of the group.
The name of the skit was "Snow
White and the Seven Dwarfs."
The skit was' very funny and re-
ceived many laughs as Mrs. Beard
played "Dopey", the dwarf who
always was trailing behind the
others.
The other groups sang two
song3, which featured Mr. Gerron
in a solo in one of them. You
know he can sing-J-
The class joined in singing a
Dew songs before the group was
dismissed.
We,- the Senior Class, want to
thank the people who helped make
the party a success. We enjoyed
it very much.
The father, a country doctor, was
played well by Jerry Lewis. Lenn
Young did a good job as she play-
ed the part of Susie, girl friend
of "Sweet" Richie, played by
Bobby Hickman. Pat Cox - was an
important character as he played
Crazy Mike, and showed consider-
able talent for the stage.
Everyone went home well satis-
fied that the seniors may have
some future 3tar3 in their midst.
