May 3. It was a play, "Where's
That Report Card?"
Billy Walsh's fire poster
took second place in the 4th,
5th, and 6th grade division.
Billy has left us, having moved
to Monday*
In history we are discussing
ou r ancestors. We have ma de a
chart showing that members of
the class have ancestors having
come from six different count-
ries between the years 1656 and
1890.
Mrs. Brother's room is having
a joyful time playing in the gym.
We are very sorry that our news
writer moved to Munday , Texas .
Patsy Willeford served as a
substitute for Carolyn Jones in
the news writing this week.
Sharon Wales wrote the news for
the Easter paper.
We are happy to have a first
place winner in the 4th, 5th,
and 6th grade group of fine

'57--'58. They are Sever in e
Prerich and Gwen Yeager. Every-
one is very much pleased with
our representatives. We are
sure they will do a very good
job in representing our Freshman
Class next year. There were
several people nominated for
representatives. They were:
Dottie Murphy, Sue Cox, Tommye
vu 11 is a nd Fcrn Deen.
The eighth grade is looking
forward to the Senior Play and
the Band's Variety Show. We
have several -people who will
take part in the'band show, They
are T. J. Taylor, Dottie Murphy,
Larry Smith, Linda Strawn, Ray-
monds Hander, Carolene Allen,
Donna Findley, Sue Cox, and
Tommye Mu 11is.
The eighth grade has been
planning the banquet'which they
are to have on May 17, at 7:30,
It will be held in the cafeteria.
We arc very much pleased with
the plans our home room teachers
and room mothers, Mr. English,
Miss Hawkins, Mrs. Murphy and
Mrs. Deen, have made. All of
the teachers of the eighth grade
will be invited,
Mr. Waldrip's seventh grade
class has a new student,Sherry
Self, from Olney. She is an
excellent student, and the class
is very proud of her.
Our class, (The Brains) has
adopted Wendy Ellen Waldrip as
our new mascot. She is claimed
to be Mr, Waldrip's assistant
instructor.
