ANNUALS ARRIVE
Everyone was happily surprize!
with the arrival of the 1956
Wildcat Annuals Monday, May llj.,
They are gold with black letter-
ing on the outside and filled
with plenty black and white mem-
ories that the 1955-56 school
year brought forth.
Congratulations! Annual Staff
for one of the best Wildcat An-
nuals ever printed.
BAPTISTS HONOR SENIORS
The Seniors of 1956 were hon-
ored with a trip around the
world. As they entered the
church they were given their
passports to any country where
they -would like to go. Then
they were taken to the basement
of the church where tables were
decorated" to represent different
countries* Signposts directed
them to their tables where they
were served a wonderful dinner.
Then the guide (emcee) took the
whole group on a tour of the
world and the people of the dif-
ferent countries gave a stunt
typical of that country, which
was followed by a talk by the
Baptist Pastor, Brother Barber,
BROTHER ALEXANDER SPEAKER
ON LAST ASSEMBLY FOR YEAR
BIBLES PRESENTED STUDENTS
Elie Lam spoke to the high
school students on behalf of the
Gideons,
The Gideons is an organiza-
tion of Christian businessmen
whose purpose is to win the lost
to Christ, They do this by sup-
plying Bibles to hotels, motels,
jails, and by giving them to
school students. Students of
the Aecher High School Wore
given one of these Bibles by
this organization.
TROPHY PREStN TEH
The Intramural Sports Program
was completed this week with the
football games. This was our
first year to have an Intramural
Program, which was sponsored by
the Student Council. In assem-
bly, Wednesday, Martha Worley,
President of the sophomore class
was awarded the trophy which the
sophomore class won with i|24-
points. Second place winner was
the Junior class which had 32
points. The senior class had
29 points and the Freshman class
had 26i,
The Student Council would
like to thank everyone for their
wonderful co-operation in making
this Intramural Program a suc-
cess ,
Brother Alexander was the
guest speaker at an assembly pro-
gram sponsored ' by the' student
council, Maurice strawn welcomed
Brother Alexander and Margaret
Alexander brought the devotional.
Brother Alexander spoke on
what we could do with our life.
He said: ,fPut the Lord first,
family second, and vocation
third,” Being partners with God
will help us to make a succes* of
our life. The entire student
body was very impressed with his
talk.
PICNICS i BASEBALL
SCHEDULED FOR tRIDAY
High ^school end - of - school
parties this year will be com- *
bined with the bi-district base
ball play-off. Since all of the
Glasses chose to go to Sandy
Beach for their parties and the
bi-district play-off will also
be held at Wichita’Falls, it was
decided to combine the two,The
classes will be dismissed at two
