MEETS TODAY
The ladies of the Methodist church
served the Rotary club in the base-
ment of the Church at noon today in
their regale^ weekly luncheon,
which was one of the beet enjoyed
in some dme.
The program tot the day was In

gram was opened with a musical

MEXICANS GATHER
TO BATTLE INDIANS
FOR EXTERMINATION
Nogales, Ariz., Nov. 16,—Mexi-
can Federal troop* were concentrat-
ed today for campaigns of extermi-
nation against hundreds of ren®-
grade Yaqui Indian*, who have In-
trenched themselves in the moun-
tain* south of Guaymas, Sonora,
Machine guns and airplanes, to-
gether whh large quantities of am-
munition, were rushed into the Son-
ora deeert for the attack.
It lie* been reported ihet the In-
dian* alao are equipped with ma-
chine guns, manned by white gun-
ners, and have token up position*
from which they can command the
mountain passe* through which the
troepi must move to the ettack.
General Alvaro Obregom, former
president of Mexico, la in charge of
the campaign against the Indians
and is expected to lead the attack.

Th# Flower Show at the Junior
High School building, which is being
fostered by the P. T. A. of that
school, opened this ufternoon with a
good crowd a( all time*. A short
musical program was rendered by

flowers is yery pretty, and the ladies
are well pleased with the number of

The show will be open tonight end
again tomorrow afternoon, at which
