In 1957, Holliday High
School had a singing group
known as the Holliday Girls’
Sextettes. This singing group of
girls was all seniors and per-
formed primarily at school as-
semblies, organizational meet-
ings and at the School Masters
Meeting (Area meeting of
school administrators).
It was said, they never
received the “American Idols
Award” but they sang great!
♦ ♦♦Correction to last
week’s article. It was brought
to our attention that in 1957,
Holliday band members ranged
from grades 7-12, not 9-12 as
we stated.
