Seniors Face World of Opportunity
By Karen Luig
There was a time of waiting, a time of won-
dering, paths to follow, and chairs to f II 1.
Years that we thought would never come have
passed so fast. We’ve shared laughter, sorrow,
and all the excitement of growing up. We’ve
waited our time to be turned loose in the
world, but now that it is here, can we say
good-bye? We will soon be leaving friends we
have made over the past twelve years.
Today may very well be the last time we
walk down the halls of AGHS, We won’t be hear-
ing the chattering of our friends in the noisy
halls, or the "Attention for announcements
please’’ over the intercom. All of these lit-
tle things will soon be in the past, but not
forgotten.

I4.I graduating seniors. Can we the underclass-
men of ACHS take up the slack? Can we fill
the positions of leadership, the rolls'-of re-
sponsibility?
The 71-72 Senior Class led our school in
many ways. They set the example on the field,
on the court, in the band hall, and in the
classroom. No longer will we be able to rely
on their leadership. Can we uphold the great
tradition of Archer City High School?
We have a tradition to carry on. If ACHS
is to continue to be a leader in this state,
as it has been In the past, then we must begin
now to plan and prepare for next year when
this great tradition is all on our shoulders,
e can do it, Tt will take long hours, hard
work, and getting everybody involved. But,
if everybody pulls together, then ACHS should
continue its tradition as a leader in every
field.
