season and to gain new
members.
The Ao C. Basketball
Cheerleaders held a sock
hop on Saturday, September
10, in the old gym. The
music v/as provided by
Barbara Burkhalter. Ben- ;
efits will go toward pay-
ing for their new uni-
forms for the 1983 ~ 8I4
seasons.
The English d^cgrtment' s
stereo system, from Mr.
Crowley’s room, was staL-
en after school on August
29th. Mr. Adams and Coach
Lunn questioned pdople but
did not find the person
responsible.
The school office was
broken into the weekend
of September 10. It was
first reported by Mrs.
King on Monday morning.

The FHA is going to begin

ball and basketball cheer-
le a ders are having the.
chain link sale. Each
class gathers their own
money to see which class
has the longest chain.
So, everyone by sure to
buy your mums and give
your money to your class.

and the 1983-84 school! yean at: A« began.
This day was- dreaded by some and’ anticipated by
others'.

Most of the seniors-, felt big, pfiou'd, hsgpy,
and important becauae this waa what they ha
been working toward for eleven yearn. Yet
other seniors were s?ad to think that this was
their last Tear of school.
Juniors looked forward tot he homecoming
supper, their first Jr.-Sr. Banquet and the
excitement of their approaching senior year.
Sophomores were still a little excited,
after all, this was their secend/year of high
school.
■ Timidity, shyness, and bewilderment de-
scribed che freshmen. They were looking fbrw and
to four years of excitement here a:t ’’Dear old
ACHS."
Ro mat ter what the feelings of the student's
were, school has started. ' So everybody get witi
it and ”do your thing.” Be a leader (not a
follower), participate, take part in every-
thing and help make this year one of the best
years ever at Archer City High School.
