points, the girls dropped
their lead to a mere total
of two points by the end

Letter to t
February 22, 1966
Dear Editor,
As everyone knows,
the Archer ottos now
have the best chance
in many years to win
District.' Wc stand 1-1
in the best two out of
throe games wc have to
play. To win, will
take all that wo have
as a team, but may I
emphasize the fact that
wc cannot do it clone.
Winning will take evory-
ono and tho sportman-
ship shown by all can
make or break our team,
I speak for tho
player, when I say he
feels his best when ho
comes on the court and
rccicvcs a loud, en-
couraging cheer from
the crowd. Anytime,
before the game, after
time outs, even an or-
ganized yell in tho
stands may give him the
extra push he needs at
that particular time.
Knowing that everyone
wants to win, will make
the player put forth a
little more effort to
win l
The Archerettes arc
working for not only
themselves and their
coach, but for you the
students of Archer City
High Sohool# It will
take everyone, but wc
work together, I know
wc can and will down
Munday Thursday night
for the District 11-A
Crownl
Sincerely yours,
Virginia Wylie
