David G. Jeske, age 74, passed
away Wednesday, May 9, 2012,
in Olney, Texas. Funeral services
will be held at 3 p.m on Friday,
18, 2012, at St. Luke Lu-
Church in Olney with
the Rev. Sean Reeves officiat-
ing. Burial will be in St. Luke
Cemetery in Olney, Texas. Ar-
rangements are under the di-
rection of Lunn Funeral Home
of Olney. The Rev. Jeske was
born on March 15, 1938, in 01-
Texas, to the late G.E."Jerry"
I Ella (Barlau) Jeske. He and
Aletha Gallmeier were married
on June 30, 1962, in Vernon,
Texas. He had been a minister
in Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kan-
sas and Texas for 44 years. Mr.
Jeske was an active member of
the Jr. Chamber of Commerce
and the Lion's Club. He was
also a devoted member of the
Lutheran Ministries, Lutheran
Welfare and Lutheran Layman's
League. He was preceded in
death by his parents; a daugh-
ney,
and
ter, Jennifer Lyn Jeske, in 1971;
and a brother, Jerold Jeske in
2001. Survivors include his
wife, Aletha Jeske of Olney; two
daughters: Ruth Marie Norrell
of Galveston, Texas, Rebecca
Hutsell and husband Woody of
Houston, Texas; a brother, Phil
Jeske I and wife Agnes of Ol-
ney; two sisters: Janice Gauger
and husband Reuel of Olney,
Texas, Sandra Barr and husband
Randy of Puerto Villarta, Mex-
ico; also three grandchildren:
Devin Norrell of Galveston,
Texas, Mack Hutsell and Emily
Hutsell, both of Houston, Texas.
Visitation will be on Thursday,
May 17, 2012, from 5-6 pm at
the funeral home. Memorials
may be made to the Concordia
Seminary, 801 Seminary Place,
St. Louis, MO, 63105, or the
Lutheran Hour Ministries, 660
Mason Ridge Center, St. Louis,

Lewis Shelley
Lewis Shelley, age 84, passed
away on May 9, 2012, in Olney,
Texas. Funeral services were
held at 4 p.m. Friday, May 11,
2012, in the chapel of Lunn Fu-
neral Home in Olney with Andy
Graham of Southside Baptist
officiating. Burial followed at
Restland Cemetery in Olney,
Texas. Arrangements were
under the direction of Lunn
Funeral Home of Olney. Lewis
was born on Nov. 20, 1927,
to William Auther and Annie
Rebecca (Wallace) Shelley in
Hill County, Texas. He and Lola
Doherty were married on Aug.
16, 1947, in Whitney, Texas. In
1961, Lewis opened, owned
and operated an auto retail tire
store. Lewis loved to play golf
and go fishing. He was a mem-
ber of the First Baptist Church
in Olney. Lewis was preceded
in death by his parents; his wife
on Oct. 22, 2010; two brothers:
Milton Simmons and William
Keith Shelley; three sisters: Mae
Russo, Viola Booth and Sarah
Pelham. Survivors include two
sons: John Shelley and wife
Kimla of Weatherford, Texas,
Ron Shelley and wife Debbie
of Olney, Texas; five grandchil-
dren: Matt Shelley and wife
Rebecca of Gallup, NM, Mike
Shelley and wife Katie of Sher-
man, Texas, Mark Shelley of
Denver, Colo., Madison Shel-
ley of Weatherford, Texas, and
Sam Shelley of Olney, Texas;
two great-grandchildren: Gus
Shelley and Hazel Shelley; also
a brother, Charlie Shelley and
wife Doris of Hillsboro, Texas.

Hubert H. Seedig
Hubert H. Seedig, age 84, of
Fair Grove, Mo., passed away
May 8, 2012. He was born
Dec. 8, 1927, in Clifton, Texas,
graduated from Throckmorton
High School, Throckmorton,
Texas, in 1945. He served in
the Army in Korea from April
1946 to September 1947. On
May 28, 1949, he was united in
marriage to Flora Faye Johle in
Olney, Texas.
Hubert spent his entire life as
a farmer, in Texas and then lat-
er moving to Missouri. He was
perfectly suited for the daily
challenges of farm life and was
well respected for his abilities.
He is survived by his wife of
62 years, Flora Faye Seedig; a
son, Gordon Seedig; daughters
a Voss, Stacey Letter-
, Adam and Lindsey Kun-
Melinda Letterman, Jan Kunkel
and Christy Seedig; grandchil-
dren Sheila V

Haley Voss and Mya Pettersen.
