BEAN IN A THRILLER
A very interesting and ex-
citing ball game was viewed
by the fans at Howe Friday
night. The game was evenly
and well played throughtout
neither team was able to
score until the fourth inning,
In that inning Burton walked
but was out at second base
scoring Crossland and tying
the score one all.
The game then went on
with some very good defen-
sive plays on both sides un-
til the last of the nineth, Me
Coy, who had substituted for
Billy, got a hit, Patterson
forced him at second base,
then singles by Trantell and
Gray brought in Patterson
with the winning run.
Hits by the Howe players
were: Trantell, two; Gray, two
on Sneed’s grounder. Sneed Crossland, two; and Bonner,
was safe on a fielder’s choice.
