Texoma Savings Stockholders Vote Stock
Split; Declare 20 Per Cent Dividend
Stockholders and members of
Texoma Savings Association of
Grayson County, voted recent-
ly to split their Permanent
Reserve Fund Stock, 5 for 1—
to all stockholders of record as
of December 20, 1966. The sav-
ings and loan has had $150,000
permanent stock in 1500 shares
of $100 par value since opening
for business in June, 1962. Af-
ter the split, there win be 7500
shares of $20.00 par value.
“Purpose of the stock split,
said Melvin Dunham, Chairman
of the Board, “is to get the
price per share of the perma-
nent stock down to a more mar-
ketable position—and to broaden
the base ofj the stockholders.”
Dunham said that the last trans
action was over a year ago at
$225 per share.
Lavene G. Ransom, president
of the savings and loan reported
that as of November 30 assets
increased 44 per cent during
this year to a total of $6,438,841'.
He further stated that savings
accounts increased over 42 per
cent during the same period to
a total of $5,527,638.97.
“During this period of tight
money,” Ransom said, “we are
especially thankful for the. $1,-
000,000 increase in savings ac-
counts just since July 1st of
this year.
The Board of Directors of
Texoma Savings Association
Monday, Dec. ID, declared a
20 per cent permanent stock
dividend payable to all stock-
holders of record as of Deeem-
next week on 18.32 miles of
Highway 75 from near the Col-
lin-Grayson County line to High-
way 121 south of McKinney.
When completed, the construc-
tion will complete U.S. 75 from
Denison to Dallas. The project
has been estimated to cover a
two-year period.

Department, said work will be
on the new location where grad-
ing and structure work is now
in progress. The grading and
structures are far enough ad-
vanced that paving should not
be delayed, Taylor added.
The engineer reminded mot-
orists that barricades and warn-
ing signs will be displayed but
extreme caution should be used
when traveling through the con-
struction zone as heavy equip-
ment will be traveling the sec-
tions.
