Howe couldn’t get a scoring
drive under way but was de-
termine:! that S & S wouldn’t
either. But the Rams size
and manpower finally paid off
in a pair of TDs.
The win brings the Rams
district mark to 2-2 and gives
them a 5-4 record for. the
season. Howe is 1-3 in loop
play and 2-7 for the year.
Paul Blanton notched both
the touchdowns for S&S with
the first coming late in the
opening period on a 15-yard
run The TD climaxed a 60-
yard drive for the Rams. A
pass for the PAT fell incom-
plete.
Howe held the Rams off
until the lrst play of the last
period before Blanton plung-
ed over from the one to end
the scoring for the night.
S&S was on Howe’s one foot
Iine ana fourth down when
the game ended.
Blanton was the main threat
for S&S, carrying the ball 22
times for 201 yards. Garry
Moody and Jimmy Billy did
most of the damage for Howe.
Four pass interceptions
helped keep the Bulldogs at
bay whenever it looked like
they might start a drive
Ricky Clements picked oif
two Bulldog tosses and Jim-
mie Thomas and Billy Brooks
caught one each.
The Bullddogs close out the
season next week in Allen.
