Days to come
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Brown from Corpus Christi sit back Monday, Oct. 1, and enjoy the most
peaceful of times in Port Aransas. With the close of the tourist season last month, the
Island is slowing down. The Browns have a place in Port Aransas and said they enjoy
coming here often. (Staff photo by Murray Judson)

With Mars and Neptune conjoin-
ed in the philosophical sign of Sagit-
tarius we may hear a lot of good
ideas put forth, but there can be a
real shortage of volunteers to carry
them out. Listen for things most
people agree that THEY ought to
do!
READ YOUR SUN-SIGN AND
YOUR RISING SIGN.
ARIES (March 21-April 20): Those
who make the biggest demands are
likely to be the slowest to pay or say
thanks. Be careful what you say,
because it is likely to get twisted by
those who repeat it.
TAURUS (April 21-May 21): Some
thing you do may give others a false
impression that stirs up a problem
on the job. Handle a dissatisfied
customer gently, but firmly.
GEMINI (May 22-June 21): Some
thing unexpected from a distance
may encourage you to take a risk.
Get the story straight before you get
too excited, or put your money on
the line.
CANCER (June 22-Julv 23);
Talk over domestic changes with
those who would be most affected,
and consult an expert if necessary.
Avoid carelessness on the job, espe-
cially with the use of sharp tools.
LEO (July 24-Aug. 23): Give an
unusual proposition serious
thought before making a decision.
A change of heart may be needed
for the plan to be beneficial to
everyone.
VIRGO (Aug. 24-Sept. 23): The job
you need done could require an
expert or person with exceptional
talent. This can be cost’y, so discuss
money arrangements. But don’t put
off having the job done!
LIBRA (Sept. 24-Oct. 23): Speak
your mind with confidence and au-
thority in regard to financial deal
ings, even when it might cause oppo-
sition. Beware of loophole when
signing papers. Don’t write an an-
gry letter!
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 22): Too
much thinking may get an irritation
all out of proportion. Give others
the benefit of the doubt and move
on. Domestic adjustments are in
order.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23-Dee. 21):
It is best to come clean when
caught in a lie. To do anything else
will only make matters worse!
Friends will stick by you, but you
may be afraid to know how few you
have.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 20):
Now that a crisis is over, stop think-
ing and talking about it. Apply what
you learned to new situations, and
let it go at that. Others are not truly
interested in hearing about it.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 Feb. 19): You
may feel uneasy about the division
of group sentiment, but don’t be
tempted to compromise your
values just to win someone over.
PISCES (Feb. 20-March 20): A
consultation with a loyal associate
can put an end to worry over a con-
fusing situation. This is one time
when “policy" can lead to a reaso-
nable solution.

Coast
Guard rescues
two 67-foot boats
Directory of
<fr Services
Two 67-foot boats disabled in the
jetties Saturday, Sept. 29, found
help from members of the Coast
Gaurd Station in Port Aransas.
When the Coast Guard arrived at
the scene, both boats were an-
chored, with both anchors drag-
ging. The Irene J was towed to
Conn Brown Harbor, with the Deb
San J being towed to Macobar
Docks, then on to Conn Brown.
Earlier in the week, on Wendes-
day, Sept. 26, a 47-foot boat had to
be towed to the city docks. The boat
lost auxiliary power going through
the jetties.
When the Laura B took on water
Friday, Sept. 28, the Coast Guard
dewatered the boat and escorted it
to a dock. On the same day, another
boat was towed in by the Coast
Guard after it was disabled.
