Red Cross will be offering a multimedia first aid

Charter Hospital of Corpus Christi will sponsor a
seminar on thinness on June 23 at the Charter
Counseling Center, Five Points, from 7:30-9 p.m.
Dr. Eric DuBois of the hospital will speak on
“Anorexia and Bulimia: When Youthful Concern
for Appearance Becomes a Debilitating Eating
Disorder.'1
KC barbecue
The Knights of Columbus Council 1202 will have
its annual barhecue on June 28 from 11 a m .-3 p,m,
at 5525 S. Alameda, Corpus Christi. Plates will be
served or to carry out ai $4.50 each. Tickets available
at the door, Raffle tickets at $1.00 each will be
available until 2 p.m. Proceeds go to the Deaf Pro-

“Solutions for Survival,’’ an award-winning scries
on ending the nuclear arms race, is being shown for
10 weeks on Athena Cable Channel 29. The Corpus
Christi Nuclear Freeze Chapter is sponsoring the

Dympna Clarke, SHSp. She is really Sister Dympna
Lyons, CVI, serving in Rockport.
Eric Schneider, a junior at Flour Bluff
High School, was elected to repre-
sent Boy's State in Austin. Eric, a
member of the National Honor Socie-
ty, is the son of LCDR Donald and
Terry Schneider. He has been an altar
boy at Our Lady of Lcrefo Chapel on
the Naval Air Station for over three
years.
