Stained glass dedication
St. Ann’s Church at Encino will dedicate a
beautiful stained glass window to Our Lady of

Texas A &M singing cadets
eChristmas Fun Run ’
The “Christmas Fun Run," a four-mile run to
benefit the Arthritis Foundation, will begin at 9:30
a.m., Saturday, Dec. 12. The race will start in front
of the Art Museum of South Texas and wind through
the Heritage Park area and along the bayfront. Santa
and several of his elves will be available and will have
a few surprises in store for entrants. A Christmas Bell
Warm-Up will be presented by Aerobics Plus at 9
a.m. Entry forms can be picked up at Physical
Therapy Services, 4650 Everhart and 712 Booty.
Christmas Tree Forest
The 1987 Christmas Tree Forest is a South Texas
tradition. This year it will include 75 brilliandy
decorated Christmas trees in the spirit of “Christmas
Around the World.” The Art Museum of South
Texas will be open Dec. 4-20, weekdays 9 a.m.-6
p.m. and weekends 12-5 p.m. Donations will be
gratefully accepted. 50 cents for adults and 25 cents
for children.
CPR course
The Coastal Bend-Texas Chapter of the American
Red Cross will be offering and infant and child CPR
course on Dec. 12 from 6-10 p.m. at the office on
1721 S. Brownlee. For further information, call the
Health Services Department at 887-9991, ext. 20.
Christmas tree sale
The Aransas County 4-H Booster Club will be sell-
ing freshly-cut Christmas trees from East Texas at
the Sea-Aire Shopping Center parking lot in
Rockport beginning Dec. 1 from 5-9 p.m. and each
evening thereafter at the same time until sold out.

Gilbert Juarez Jr. was born on
June 11, 1961, In New-
foundland, Canada, to Gilbert
and Valentina Juarez. Gilbert Is
the oldest of seven children.
He was baptized Gilbert Juarez
Jr. on Aug. 20, 1961, In Blessed
Sacrament Chapel In New-
foundland, Canada. Gilbert
made his first Holy Commu-
nion In December 1969, In the
Naval Base Chapel In Norfolk,
Va. He was confirmed Gilbert Juarez Jr. on Jan. 8,
1967, In Holy Family Church In Corpus Christi. Gilbert
grew up In Norfolk, Va., then this family moved to Cor-
pus Christi where he attended public schools and
graduated from W.B. Ray High School. During the time
he attended public schools, he also attended CCD
classes until he graduated. He then attended Del Mar
College and was accepted to St. Mary's Seminary In
Houston. Gilbert Is presently attending the Pontifical
College Josephlnum In Columbus, Ohio, where he Is a
junior.

education of seminarians, deacons and priests of the
Diocese of Corpus Christi. The Interest earned by this
fund Is applied each year to their education and forma-
tion. Burses may be started In memory of any In-
dividual priest, Religious, or lay person, or for any In-
tention."
The total cost of educating our priests, deacons and
seminarians during the fiscal year ended June 30,
1987, was $411,819. The total Income of $81,541 earn-
ed by the Burse Fund In the same period was applied
to defray this cost. The Burse Fund needs to grow to
$4,428,000 In order to eliminate this shortfall- Please
help our Burse Fund grow to meet that goal.
