day was over Hicks
had made friends and
beauty seekers happy,
by giving sculptured
nails, hair weaves, all
kinds of hot iron work.

returning to Hicks to
get her license in the
field of cosmetology.
Added to the joy of
tuesday morning at
Hicks was the
enrollment of Paula
Danette Bell, who
enrolled in Hicks for
the manicure course.
She will follow in the
footsteps of Jaunita
Mason, Lena Wilson,
and Lucero Machiele.
Jaunita and Lena have
recently received
licenses and Lucero is
getting ready to
appear before the State
board for her
examination. Friends
are happy to read
about Ms. Hicks in the
Light Newspaper. Ms.
Hicks stated, that it
was a surprise of her
life, never did she
once dreary that the
news . media would be
so gracious, people
who have not read tba
Light did so, it was a
lovely write up. It
was real nice of the
Light to bring out the
truth about Rev.
Calhe, who has given
his life for the Martin
L. King cause, and
deserve , cvcryones
encouragement. Rev.
Clifton Byrd is one of
the nrpnisters of our
day, to stand by Rev.
Callie in the midst of
his trying effort. Mrs.

people who have
