She knew all day what
she must do. It was not
going to be easy. He was
a good man* He was a
understanding rt^an. He
was her husband. She had
taken off frorrj work today
in order to start packing.
She had gotten all her
belongings out ' of the
house. He would be horr\e
shortly. They had an
excellent relationship.
They have so much fun
together.
He would buy her nice
things when she least
expected it, he would send
her flowers just for the
hell of it. Just last week
she asked him to help her
best girlfriend to move.
She knew he really didn't
want to do it but he did
relunctently. She even
asked hin\ to give her
girlfriend a ride to work a
few mornings because they
were going in the sarr\p
direction. He was a good
rrjan. Now she asked
herself how could she
hurt hinq so with what
she was about to do.
She justified it by
telling herself that,,
that's life. Even as
she said it she didn't
believe it. How would
he take the fact that
she was leaving hirrj.
Not just leaving him>
but leaving him for
another man! She
would be easy with
hirrj at firsthand if that
didn't work she would
just have to get hard
and tell him that's just
the way it is ! 1 have
to do what's best for
rqc, 1 didn't plan to
fall in love with
another man. She was
kind of proud that she
had the personality to
get hard when” she had
to. Plus it would
probably be easier on
him* She smiled as
she picked up his
tennis frorQ the floor.
She was always picking
up after him* She
threw his socks in the
dirty clothes hamper
and opened his closet
door and let out a
scream that was heard
throughout the entire
housing development. ’
The next door neighbor
dropped the clothes
she was hanging on the
line. Children stopped
playing and ran to
their rfjothers, dogs ran
and hid. She took a
deep- breath and
screamed again.
Anutlier breath^anothcr-
screartj* His closet
was full of empty
hangers.

Today, we'll begin a
discussion on pulmonary
disease. Pulmonary is the
is the fancy word we
doctors use for lungs,. It
has to be a strange organ
system as there is no easy
word to describe a lung
specialist. Respcrologist or
pulrf)onaligist sounds silly
lungs arc in the chest or
under the ribs. But so is
the esophazous (or) food
pipe, the stomach and
spleen, the liver and the
heart and great vessels. So,
chest pain could involve
any of those organs.
The functional reserve of
the lungs is amazing. An
entire lung can be removed
without much harrr\ to the
patient assuming that
person was not crazy
enough to smoke and
damage the lungs.
Mostly the lungs are trade
of tiny air sacs. This is
where oxygen in the air
comes into physical Contact

contain blood cells which in
turn contain the
hemoglobin.
Oxygen moves into or
diffuses into the blood to
blend with the hemoglobin.
This hemoglobin carries
