Is there a gospel album
in R. Kelly’s future?
R&B is definitely making a
comeback. R. Kelly’s “Bump 4n’
Grind” , which is 100% R&B and
has hit the top of Billboard’s pop
music chart for three weeks in a row.
Kelly say he tries in the song, which
has been called “R-rated” and “raw
eroticism”, to “make love to every
woman around the world.”
Kelly, who says he is a strong
“believer”,sangontheWinan’s 1993
album “All Out.” His show, he says,
‘is pretty much gospel, just the lyrics
are the opposite way.’ When I’m
singing “12 Play,” I feel the spirit of
God,” he says.
He began singing in church at age
7 and says he plans to record a gospel
album someday.
“I realize God has given me a talent
and blessed me with a voice,” he
said. “I still pray like I’ve always
prayed.”
